Art Direction for Interac “The Surprise”

Interac is a non-profit interbank debit network that allows Canadians to pay electronically using money from their bank account instead of credit. To convince Canadians to pay with Interac Debit, we needed to evolve the brand beyond bashing credit cards and begin to tell our own story.

The spot aired in Cineplex cinemas across Canada, with an extended version released online. In the month of its release, it was ranked by YouTube as one of the top five most watched ads in Canada, and was used by Google Labs in an internal case study on how to do effective long-form content.
